Taler 1556 (Silver, 42 mm, 28.31 g, 4 h), Kremnitz. ✱FERDINAND D G ROM HVN BOE DAL C REX Cuirassed and crowned bust of Ferdinand I to right, holding scepter over his right shoulder, his left hand at his sword. Rev. INF HISPA ARCHIDVAVSTRI DVX BVR 1556 Nimbate eagle with arms on its chest in large shield between K-B, crowned bust of the Madonna above, holding the infant Christ on her right arm and scepter in her left hand. Davenport 8032. Huszár 914. Markl 1304. Nicely toned. The reverse slightly double struck, otherwise, very fine.
